VIP Taster
During this 1hr encounter you will get up close and personal with stockley’s hawks and owls by flying and handling around 5 different birds or prey.
We start by taking you on a short leisurely stroll down our woodland trail with one of our Harris Hawks your experienced falconer will explain all about the hawks physical adaptations and how it would hunt and locate it’s prey in this natural environment, Watch in awe as the hawks fly between the tree’s and feel the rush of the wind beneath the hawks wings as you call it to your fist for the very first time.
We then return to the flying arena to get up close and personal with our owls, we have various species here at Stockley, from Fin our placid barn owl to our larger than life Indian eagle owl Alex!
See how they would hunt in a natural setting and learn why their camouflage and intense hearing is so important in low light.
